How a Bottle Is Made

The complete production path from raw materials to a finished, decorated bottle.

01

Batch & melt

Sand, soda ash and limestone are weighed, mixed and melted, then temperature-controlled before forming.

02

Form

A gob of molten glass is delivered into the mold and blown or pressed into the bottle.

03

Anneal

Bottles travel through a lehr to slowly cool and remove internal stress.

04

Inspect

Bottles are checked for defects and dimensions; rejects are removed before decoration.

05

Decorate

Spray, frost, screen print, foil, electroplate or label to your specification.

06

Final QC & pack

Adhesion and other tests, then export cartons and preparation for shipment.
