Custom Bottles for a Niche Fragrance House in Spain

A growing fragrance house in Spain was selling through boutiques and wanted a more distinctive bottle to match a new premium line, while keeping consistent quality for repeat production.

Challenge
The existing bottle felt generic and did not stand out at retail. The brand needed Pantone-matched color, precise decoration and a cap that felt premium, without moving to a high-volume mold order.
Solution
We selected an existing square bottle mold in 50 ml and 100 ml, applied a matte spray coating in the brand's Pantone color, screen printed the logo, and supplied weighted metal caps and rigid boxes. A pre-production sample was approved before the run.
Approach
We started from the brand's Pantone references and a mood board, and matched them to an existing square mold so no tooling cost was added. Our team prepared color plaques for the spray coating and a printed decal for the logo, then ran a pre-production sample under controlled light. The matte coating was checked for adhesion with a cross-cut test and for resistance to alcohol, and the weighted cap was confirmed for fit and seal before the production run. Capacities and the 50 ml and 100 ml formats were approved together so the two products shared one shelf identity.
Result
The first production run was approved without rework and the line reorders on a rolling schedule, with the same color standard and decoration maintained batch to batch. The brand now uses the same finish across its packaging and point-of-sale materials. When a new fragrance is added, the approved mold and color library shorten the sampling cycle to a few days.

Low-MOQ Launch for an Indie Perfumer in the USA

An independent perfumer in the USA had a small, loyal following and wanted to launch a first bottled fragrance without the cash risk of a large order.
Used for low MOQLabels

Days to first delivery12-18
Larger second runScaled
Challenge
The budget and storage were limited, and a new custom mold or high MOQ was not feasible for a first launch.
Solution
We used an existing round 30 ml mold with full-color pressure-sensitive labels for the lowest entry volume, matched a simple cap, and confirmed the product on a small sample. Once sales were proven, we quoted screen print and custom color for the second run.
Approach
To protect the launch budget, we chose an existing round 30 ml mold rather than new tooling and full-color pressure-sensitive labels, which support the lowest entry volume and full artwork without a screen charge. We checked the label artwork at print resolution, supplied a simple cap, and sent a small physical sample for approval. The order was packed in partitioned cartons to survive a single small parcel shipment, and we kept the same bottle reference on file for an easy repeat.
Result
The founder reached shelves without committing to a large first order and used early customer feedback to confirm the format. Once the fragrance sold through, the second run moved to screen printing and a custom color at a lower unit cost, and a 50 ml variant was added. The first run's label artwork transferred to the new decoration with only minor adjustment.

Private Label Range for a Distributor in Russia

A distributor in Russia wanted to sell a coordinated perfume range under its own brand across several retailers.
Capacity variants3
Unified finish1
Freight usedSea
Brand standard1
Challenge
The line required several coordinated bottles and consistent branding, with secure packaging for long transport and full documentation.
Solution
We built a coherent family of 30, 50 and 100 ml bottles in a single finish, applied a shared logo with screen print and foil, matched the caps, and packed in partitioned export cartons with the required shipping documents.
Approach
We first agreed a single brand standard that would carry across the 30, 50 and 100 ml bottles: one finish, one logo position and a matched cap family. The logo was applied by screen printing for the body with a hot-foil accent where the design called for it. We produced a pre-production sample for each capacity, checked the seals and spray consistency, and then packed everything in partitioned export cartons with a packing list and the documentation required for sea freight and customs clearance.
Result
The distributor launched a coordinated range that reads as one family across several retailers and has since repeated the order with predictable quality and packaging. The unified brand standard simplified reordering and reduced the number of items to manage. Seasonal additions now follow the same template, so new capacities or variants can be added without changing the overall identity.

Seasonal Gift Set Program for a Middle East Retailer

A retailer in the Middle East planned a seasonal gift range combining a full-size bottle with mini bottles and coordinated presentation.
Set structureFull+mini
Foil accentGold
Presentation boxRigid
Container shipment1
Challenge
Gift sets require mini bottles, a hero bottle, protective inserts and premium boxes that all arrive retail-ready and damage-free.
Solution
We paired a 50 ml hero bottle with 10 ml mini bottles in a matched finish, supplied gold foil detail, and produced rigid boxes with protective inserts. Carton and pallet quantities were planned for a full container.
Approach
We worked back from the set's box dimensions to define the hero bottle, mini bottles and protective inserts so every component fit without movement in transit. A 50 ml bottle was matched to 10 ml mini bottles in a single finish, and a gold foil detail was applied to tie the set together. Our team produced the rigid boxes and fitted inserts, assembled a complete set sample, and then planned carton and pallet quantities so the gift sets loaded cleanly into a full container.
Result
The gift sets arrived retail-ready and damage-free, with the mini bottles and inserts correctly aligned inside each box. The retailer repeated the seasonal program the following year and added a second set using the same packaging structure. Because the components were planned together, the container loading was efficient and the per-set landed cost stayed within target.

Challenge
A standard round bottle did not fit the men's positioning, and the bottle had to work with a substantial cap.
Solution
We selected a flat flask-style bottle in 50 ml and 100 ml with a dark matte finish and a weighted cap, confirmed the fit and spray on samples, and supplied coordinated outer cartons.
Approach
We selected a flat flask-style bottle in 50 ml and 100 ml to support the men's positioning and to sit comfortably in a pocket. A dark matte coating was applied in the brand's color and paired with a weighted cap to add a premium, substantial feel. Samples were checked for the cap fit, neck seal and a consistent fine-mist spray, and the outer cartons were coordinated to the bottles before the run.
Result
The men's line launched with a bottle that matched its positioning and the brand expanded the range to include a travel format. The dark matte finish and weighted cap became the recognizable signature of the line. Reorders keep the same color and decoration, with the format now also used for a matching deodorant and grooming set.

Mini Bottles for Travel Retail in Singapore

A travel-retail buyer in Singapore wanted small, durable bottles for discovery and carry-friendly formats.

ShippingAir/sea
Challenge
Mini bottles needed secure caps and reliable multi-pack packaging that survived multi-stage handling.
Solution
We supplied 10 and 15 ml mini bottles in matched color with secure caps, small foil accents and multi-pack cartons, and planned the weight and volume for air and sea shipment.
Approach
We supplied 10 and 15 ml mini bottles in matched color with secure caps and small foil accents, and developed multi-pack cartons that hold the bottles firmly during multi-stage handling. The team checked the mini bottles for leaks and consistent fill, planned the weight and volume for both air and sea shipment, and prepared the packaging so the travel-retail formats could be displayed directly or combined into larger assortments.
Result
The buyer launched a durable discovery format that survived the handling chain and supported both individual sale and multi-pack assortments. The mini bottles became a recurring travel-retail item and a vehicle for fragrance discovery. The same packaging structure was reused for new scents, keeping the format consistent and the replenishment cycle short.

Exclusive Custom Mold for a Signature Fragrance

A brand with an established bestseller wanted a proprietary bottle that competitors could not reproduce.
Days mold development~25
Exclusive shape1
MOQ (new mold)10,000
Prototype first3D
Challenge
The signature bottle needed a custom shape, exact capacity and a reliable mold for ongoing volume.
Solution
We developed engineering drawings and a 3D prototype, machined the exclusive mold, produced a physical pre-production sample, and then ran the full order. The mold is maintained for repeat production.
Approach
We began with the brand's reference and prepared engineering drawings that fixed the exact capacity and proportions, then produced a 3D prototype so the silhouette could be reviewed before any steel was cut. Once approved, the exclusive mold was machined and a physical pre-production sample was made to confirm the glass, seam and cap fit. The mold was then run for the full order and is stored and maintained by the factory for repeat production, protecting the brand's exclusive shape.
Result
The brand obtained a proprietary bottle that competitors cannot reproduce and that now anchors its bestseller. Because the mold is maintained on site, repeat orders start directly with a pre-production sample and a short production cycle. The exclusive format has also been used in limited editions and gift sets, extending the value of the single tooling investment.

From Sample to Scale for a Startup Brand

A first-time founder wanted to validate a fragrance with a small production run before scaling.
Full processGuided
First MOQLow
Approved firstSample
Later runsScaled
Challenge
The founder needed guidance on bottles, decoration, MOQ and packaging, and could not commit to a large first order.
Solution
We guided the choice of an existing bottle and labels for the low-volume launch, provided a sample and a transparent budget, then planned a path to custom color, print and a larger second run.
Approach
We assigned a single contact to walk the founder through bottle, decoration, MOQ and packaging choices and to translate the ideas into a concrete plan. An existing bottle paired with pressure-sensitive labels allowed the low-volume launch, and a physical sample plus a transparent budget were provided before anything was produced. From the start we mapped a clear scaling path so the founder knew exactly what would change at the next order, including custom color, screen printing and the quantity breakpoints.
Result
The founder validated the fragrance with a small run, kept the initial cash outlay low and then scaled in line with real sales. The second run moved to custom color and screen printing at a better unit cost, and the same bottle family carried the brand's next products. The transparent plan meant each decision was made from known numbers rather than guesswork.
