Materials and construction

The bottle is made from high-clarity soda-lime glass, the standard material for fine fragrance because it shows the colour of the liquid and is chemically stable with alcohol-based formulas. After forming, each piece passes through an annealing lehr that heats and slowly cools the glass to remove internal stress, the step that prevents spontaneous breakage later in the supply chain.

We thicken the base to give the bottle a substantial feel and a stable stance, and we hold the neck diameter to a close tolerance so that closures fit. Each piece is checked for cracks, stones, bubbles and mould marks as well as dimension, because the cap and pump can only seal reliably on a consistently formed neck.

In its standard format this novelty bottle holds 30 ml and measures approximately 120 mm high by 30 mm wide. Because the bottle is made on our own moulds, fill volume and proportions can be tuned to your fragrance, and we commonly produce 10, 15, 30, 50 and 100 ml versions. The 30 ml bottle is the most popular entry size in fine fragrance. It is compact enough to carry and travel with, yet large enough to be treated as the real full-size bottle rather than a sample. Many perfume houses start the range at 30 ml, with the 50 ml and 100 ml as the larger sizes, because it reaches the widest audience at the most accessible price point.

Quality is checked at three stages: before production, during the run and before shipment. Incoming material and moulds are confirmed, the line is monitored for forming and decoration defects, and finished goods are sampled against the approved standard. Decorated bottles also undergo cross-cut adhesion and alcohol-resistance tests to confirm the finish bonds correctly and withstands contact with fragrance.
