The exclusive mold is then maintained for repeat production. Because the tooling is more involved, novelty programs are planned with a higher MOQ and a slightly longer lead time than a standard bottle.

Materials and construction

The glass itself is clear soda-lime flint, melted and formed in-house. Every bottle then goes through an annealing lehr, where controlled heating and cooling removes the stress that otherwise causes breakage. The result is a transparent, chemically stable bottle that shows the liquid and withstands the journey to market.

The base is deliberately thickened to add weight and reduce tipping, while the neck is finished to a consistent diameter so the pump and cap seat correctly and seal. The mouth is formed to a set tolerance, and bottles are inspected for cracks, stones, bubbles, mould lines and dimensional accuracy before they leave the line.

Capacity and dimensions

In its standard format this novelty bottle holds 50 ml and measures approximately 143 mm high by 39 mm wide. Because the bottle is made on our own moulds, fill volume and proportions can be tuned to your fragrance, and we commonly produce 10, 15, 30, 50 and 100 ml versions. The 50 ml bottle is the flagship size for many eau de parfum and eau de toilette lines. It is large enough to feel substantial and to present the bottle design at its best, but still comfortable to hold and to carry. OEM and ODM customers can take delivery at any point in the process: blank bottles for in-house filling, decorated bottles for branding, or a finished package with cap, pump and box. Most programs begin on an existing mould and move to exclusive tooling as volumes build.

Quality control

Quality control is structured around three checks across the order. Moulds and materials are confirmed first, the line is monitored as bottles are formed and decorated, and the finished goods are sampled before shipment. Adhesion and alcohol-resistance tests on decorated pieces confirm the finish will hold.
