Materials and construction

The glass itself is clear soda-lime flint, melted and formed in-house. Every bottle then goes through an annealing lehr, where controlled heating and cooling removes the stress that otherwise causes breakage. The result is a transparent, chemically stable bottle that shows the liquid and withstands the journey to market.

The base is deliberately thickened to add weight and reduce tipping, while the neck is finished to a consistent diameter so the pump and cap seat correctly and seal. The mouth is formed to a set tolerance, and bottles are inspected for cracks, stones, bubbles, mould lines and dimensional accuracy before they leave the line.

In its standard format this rectangular bottle holds 100 ml and measures approximately 167 mm high by 52 mm wide. Moulds and materials are confirmed first, the line is monitored as bottles are formed and decorated, and the finished goods are sampled before shipment. Adhesion and alcohol-resistance tests on decorated pieces confirm the finish will hold.
