Eau de Parfum vs Eau de Toilette: Choosing Bottle Sizes

Concentration and size

Eau de parfum is more concentrated and is commonly sold in 30–50 ml, where a little product goes a long way. Eau de toilette is lighter and is often offered in larger 75–100 ml bottles.

Planning a coherent range

A typical line pairs a full-size flagship with a smaller travel size and, for gifts, a discovery set. Using the same bottle family across sizes keeps the brand recognisable and simplifies packaging.

How concentration changes the fill

A more concentrated fragrance uses a smaller dose per application, so buyers perceive the same value in a smaller bottle, which is why eau de parfum performs well at 30 and 50 ml. Lighter eau de toilette is applied more generously and therefore suits larger formats. Matching the concentration to the bottle size keeps both the price and the user experience credible, rather than placing a light fragrance in a small bottle that feels empty or a concentrated scent in a 100 ml bottle that appears overpriced.

For planning purposes, confirm the fill volume and neck finish together, and estimate the resulting glass dimensions and weight with the fill-volume calculator before tooling is discussed.
