Materials and construction

The bottle is made from high-clarity soda-lime glass, the standard material for fine fragrance because it shows the colour of the liquid and is chemically stable with alcohol-based formulas. After forming, each piece passes through an annealing lehr that heats and slowly cools the glass to remove internal stress, the step that prevents spontaneous breakage later in the supply chain.

We thicken the base to give the bottle a substantial feel and a stable stance, and we hold the neck diameter to a close tolerance so that closures fit. Each piece is checked for cracks, stones, bubbles and mould marks as well as dimension, because the cap and pump can only seal reliably on a consistently formed neck.

In its standard format this oval bottle holds 15 ml and measures approximately 80 mm high by 24 mm wide. Because the bottle is made on our own moulds, fill volume and proportions can be tuned to your fragrance, and we commonly produce 10, 15, 30, 50 and 100 ml versions. The 15 ml bottle is a compact, entry-level format that sits between a sample and a full-size bottle. It is small enough to travel and to give as a gift, but it carries a little more fragrance than the 10 ml and reads more clearly as a product on the shelf. The 15 ml size is commonly used in gift sets, travel lines and for the smallest size of a standard range.

Decorated bottles also undergo cross-cut adhesion and alcohol-resistance tests to confirm the finish bonds correctly and withstands contact with fragrance.
