Materials and construction

The bottle is made from high-clarity soda-lime glass, the standard material for fine fragrance because it shows the colour of the liquid and is chemically stable with alcohol-based formulas. After forming, each piece passes through an annealing lehr that heats and slowly cools the glass to remove internal stress, the step that prevents spontaneous breakage later in the supply chain.

We thicken the base to give the bottle a substantial feel and a stable stance, and we hold the neck diameter to a close tolerance so that closures fit. Each piece is checked for cracks, stones, bubbles and mould marks as well as dimension, because the cap and pump can only seal reliably on a consistently formed neck.

In its standard format this mini bottle holds 10 ml and measures approximately 55 mm high by 16 mm wide. Incoming material and moulds are confirmed, the line is monitored for forming and decoration defects, and finished goods are sampled against the approved standard. Decorated bottles also undergo cross-cut adhesion and alcohol-resistance tests to confirm the finish bonds correctly and withstands contact with fragrance.
